We are very excited to be starting a KuneKune breeding program at Ingham Farms. Originally from New Zealand, KuneKunes are still very rare in Canada. They are called “the grazing pig” because they are able to be fed on pasture alone during the summer months, with hay supplied in the winter. They are also known for their sweet, docile temperaments. KuneKunes are the smallest breed of domestic pig, being slightly smaller than most potbellies. While their grass-fed pork is uniquely delicious, we will be selling breeding stock only for now, until the numbers of KuneKunes in Ontario has grown.
